Climate Ready South East Scotland is the first regional climate risk and opportunity assessment for the Edinburgh and South East Scotland city deal region. While the project was conceived as a collaboration between the region’s six local authorities and sustainability charity Sniffer, this is a region wide assessment and it is vital that a diverse range of voices help shape the project and it’s outputs.
To support Sniffer and the 6 Local authorities who manage the day-to-day delivery of the project we are recruiting for Advisory group members.
The Advisory Group will be comprised of climate change and sector experts from across South East Scotland, with a wide range of specialisms representing the views of public bodies, government agencies, infrastructure providers, businesses and third sector and community groups.
The expertise of the advisory group will be sought at key points throughout the project to shape the project approach, take part in the risk assessment scoring, and review / contribute to project outputs. We are recruiting for Advisory Group members now.
Who should apply?
Please consider joining this group if you:
- have strong links to the South East of Scotland,
- work for a public agency, infrastructure provider or other organisation with assets, community interests or land in South East Scotland,
- work for a major employer, trade association or trade union active in the region,
- work or volunteer for a community development trust, charity or other community group with an interest in the region’s places and people, or
- work for an academic institution or have other expertise of how climate change could impact our region:
We need your insights and expertise to help steer the project and make sure that it is representative of the diverse people, places, nature, and businesses within South East Scotland.
