Partners and funders

Climate Ready South East Scotland is led by Verture, working in partnership with the region’s six local authorities: City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian.
We are also working with a number of collaborators to deliver the climate risk and opportunity assessment:
- CAG Consultants are supporting evidence collation and analysis
- Paul Watkiss Associates are developing the economic assessment
- University of Glasgow are leading additional research on coastal change
- The region’s six community climate action hubs (Edinburgh Communities Climate Action Network, East Lothian Climate Hub, Midlothian Climate Action Hub, Scottish Borders Climate Action Network, West Lothian Climate Action Network) are supporting community engagement and gathering local knowledge and lived experience
Climate Ready South East Scotland is building on and complementing existing local work to build climate resilience. It recognises that the impacts of climate change – such as increased flood risk along our coast and across river catchments – don’t follow local authority boundaries.
The project is being delivered as part of the Regional Prosperity Framework, with support from Capital City Partnership. The project is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Scottish Government.
