Do you live or work in, have assets in, or represent the interests of communities or the natural environment in South East Scotland?
Are you interested in resilience and climate change?
If so, we would love to collaborate with you on the Climate Ready South East Scotland (CRSES) project.
The call for evidence for the project is now open until 27 September 2024.
We need your help to:
- assess how climate change impacts could create risks and opportunities for the region, and
- to develop regional adaptation priorities to help us minimise risks and capitalise on any opportunities that the changing climate may bring.
To help stakeholders find out more about the project, the CRSES team held our first online briefing on Thursday 09 May 2024 on Teams. A recording of this event is now available online here.
Climate Ready South East Scotland is a pioneering cross-sector initiative to assess the risks and opportunities posed to the South East Scotland region from climate change. The project region covers the Scottish Borders, East Lothian, City of Edinburgh, Midlothian, West Lothian, and Fife Council areas.
The briefing was an opportunity to learn more about the Climate Ready South East Scotland project – how you can get involved, and the value of the information you may hold for the region’s first climate risk and opportunity assessment. The online briefing complemented the in-person key stakeholder inception event at the end of April 2024, and provided an opportunity for those unable to attend in person to learn about CRSES.
Watch the webinar to learn more about the challenges we face and develop shared solutions to increase our regional resilience.
Please share this webinar with your colleagues and contacts who could help provide information and insight to the regional climate risk and opportunity assessment – this is a collaborative, region-wide project and we appreciate your help.
